Photographer Terry Richardson accused of offering Vogue shoot in exchange for sex
Entertainment Tonight
Often controversial celebrity photographer Terry Richardson, who recently made headlines for his revealing photo shoot with Miley Cyrus, has been accused by model Emma Appleton of offering to book her a Vogue magazine shoot in exchange for sex.
On Sunday, Appleton posted to Twitter a screen shot of a message allegedly sent by Richardson, which read, "If I can [expletive] you, I will book you in my for a.shoot [sic] for Vogue."
Appleton later told the press that the message had come from Richardson's Facebook page.
Later, Appleton tweeted, "beginning to wish I hadn't posted that ... it doesn't matter who you are or what the industry is, just be a decent human being." After that, Appleton wrote, "The fact people think this is acceptable blows my [expletive] mind. See ya" and then deleted her Twitter account.
Richardson's spokesperson Candice Marks told the press, "This is obviously a fake. Terry did not send this text."
After the allegations were made, and media inquiries were presented, Vogue U.S.'s communications director Hildy Kuryk released a statement saying, "We have no plans to work with [Richardson] in the future."
It was also made clear that the last time Richardson worked for Vogue U.S. was in 2010. However, Richardson did work for French Vogue earlier this year.
Richardson is of the most high-profile fashion photogs currently working in the industry. Aside from his many magazine shoots, he is also a music video director, creating the controversial but hugely popular video for Miley Cyrus's "Wrecking Ball," as well as the video for Beyonce's "XO" and Taylor Swift's "The Last Time."
Richardson has been the subject of accusations of sexual impropriety in the recent past. In March, model Charlotte Waters accused Richardson of making inappropriate and unwanted sexual advances towards her, as well as a number of other models in the past. The accusations were made on the website Reddit. Initially, they were made anonymously, but Waters later came forward.
Responding to Waters' claims, Richardson penned an editorial for The Huffington Post called "Correcting The Rumors," where he denied any such accusations.
Presented are excerpts from the editorial:
"... Enabled and protected by the freewheeling and often times anonymous nature of the Internet, people have become comfortable concocting hate-filled and libelous tales about my professional and personal lives. In writing this, I make a humble attempt at correcting these rumors, because I have come to realize that absent my voice in the conversation, all that remain are the lies..."
"... like Robert Mapplethorpe, Helmut Newton, and so many others before me, sexual imagery has always been a part of my photography ... I have never used an offer of work or a threat of rebuke to coerce someone into something that they did not want to do. I give everyone that I work with enough respect to view them as having ownership of their free will and making their decisions accordingly, and as such, it has been difficult to see myself as a target of revisionist history. Sadly, in the on-going quest for controversy-generated page views, sloppy journalism fueled by sensationalized, malicious, and manipulative recountings of this work has given rise to angry Internet crusades. Well-intentioned or not, they are based on lies..."
"Over the course of my career, I have come to accept that some of my more provocative work courts controversy, and as an artist, I value the discourse that arises from this. I can only hope for this discourse to be informed by fact, so that whether you love my work or hate it, you give it, and me, the benefit of the truth."
Richardson himself has yet to comment on these allegations, and it's unknown if any comment will be forthcoming

Kate Upton Wishes She Had Smaller Boobs

Kate UptonKate UptonKate Upton has been on the cover of basically every magazine (including this one) at this point, and her body is considered one of the most desirable in all the land. But, as they say, the bods are always greener on the other side. Upton tells The Sun that she'd rather have a completely different shape. "I wish I had smaller boobs every day of my life as I love to wear spaghetti tops braless or go for the smallest bikini designs," she said. "Every single day, I'm like, 'Oh, man, it would be so much easier,' especially if people didn't constantly bring them up." (Upton is not the first blond bombshell to lament the great attention paid to her chest. Pamela Anderson once told a magazine, "The thing I love most about my body and the thing I hate most are my breasts and my breasts. I have a love-hate relationship with them.") Upton went on to employ a somewhat curious metaphor to describe her wishes: "If I could just take [my breasts] off like they were clip-ons . . ." (Prepare for a series of extremely bizarre Photoshopped jpegs to hit the Internet by day's end.)

So, who would Upton rather look like? "In my eyes, Cameron Diaz has the perfect figure," she told the paper. The fact that the two are starring in a movie together-out in a few weeks!-is no doubt just a coincidence.

Black Bear Mauls Florida Woman, Drags Her Out of Garage

The hunt is on today for a black bear who mauled a woman at her home in an upscale central Florida neighborhood, leaving her with injuries to her face, legs and torso and requiring her to get 40 stitches to the head.
Terri Frana of Lake Mary, Fla., went to her garage Saturday evening to grab bicycles for her children to ride down to their neighbor's house when the attack happened, according to her husband, Frank Frana.
As soon as the children left, Frana, 45, saw two bears in the driveway. She walked to the patio area where there were five bears eating trash that they had pulled out of the garage, her husband said.
"The bear got up on [its] hind legs and started to maul her, opened its jaws and put her head in the mouth and dragged her towards the woods," Frank Frana said. "Somehow she was able to pull herself out."
"The bears were various sizes so we think it's probably cubs of different maturity and perhaps a mama bear," the Seminole County Sheriff's Office told ABC News.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission said there was at least one bear involved in the attack but couldn't corroborate the report that there had been five bears.
Frana managed to get inside the house, said her husband. Her son found her collapsed in the living room and called 911. She was then taken to a local hospital where she was treated for at least three bear bites and several cuts all over her body.
Frana was released from the hospital Sunday morning and is recovering at home, her husband said.
Wildlife officials are concentrating on finding the bears, and put out traps and searched for them throughout the night.
The attack happened in an area 10 miles from where another woman, 54-year-old Susan Chalfant, was mauled by a black bear while walking her dogs last December.
Although there has been an increase in bear sightings in the area, in general, black bear attacks on humans are highly unusual and occur mainly when a bear feels her cubs are threatened, according to the Department of Natural Resources.
People who are attacked by black bears are encouraged to stand their ground and not back away or play dead.

Paulina Gretzky has found herself at the center of an uproar over her upcoming Golf Digest cover photo, but it’s far from the first time the daughter of hockey great Wayne Gretzky has made waves due to her photos.
Members of the PGA are upset that Gretzky will be featured on the May cover of the magazine even though she isn’t a pro golf player, she’s just engaged to one — PGA player Dustin Johnson.
Pro golfer Stacy Lewis told The New York Times the cover shows that female golfers “don’t get respect for being the golfers we are,” and that she’d like to see more respect for the women’s game.
The magazine defended its choice.
“Paulina ranks at the high end of the golf celebrity scene today, and she has a compelling story to tell. She also might get some new people interested in the game,” Golf Digest said in a statement.
Check out some of Gretzky’s greatest hits below:
Instagram Infamy
Gretzky became a household name in 2012  for posting sexually suggestive photos of herself and pals on Instagram. These days, she mostly posts bikini photos of herself on yachts and beaches.
Magazine Covers
After she gained Internet fame, Gretzky quickly made the hop to magazine covers, posing in a spread for Flare magazine and then, in December of last year, posing for Maxim.
Celebrity Friends
Being Wayne Gretzky’s daughter apparently isn’t enough fame for Paulina, who hung out with singer Drake recently at a club. Her brother uploaded the photo to Twitter.
Make-Out Photos
Gretzky didn’t shy away from social media when it came to announcing a relationship with professional golfer Dustin Johnson. She posted a photo of the pair making out at a club to Instagram. The pair later got engaged.
Dancing in a Bikini
Using the new Instagram video feature, Gretzky outdid her previous photo posts and uploaded a video of herself dancing in a bikini during a photo shoot to Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines.”
