Prom-goers surprised to find X-rated event in same building

"Exotica" sounds benign enough to be a prom theme, but it was a public relations nightmare for administrators at Miami Beach Senior High School when they discovered that their big spring formal had been booked into the same convention center as "Exxxotica." It's what organizer John Handy calls "the largest adult event in the country dedicated to love and sex," and what at least one parent called "terrible." The school avoids staging its prom at hotels to discourage drinking, but had to hire police officers to help keep the kids secure from the, uh, Exxxotics.
