Former NFL Cheerleader Sarah Jones Denies She Is the 'Female Sandusky'

A former Bengals cheerleader accused of sex abuse is firing back at her at her critics and the rumors about her personal life despite a request by prosecutors for a gag order in the case.
Sarah Jones, one-time captain of the Cincinnati Ben-Gals cheerleading squad and a former high school teacher in Kenton County, Ky., is accused of sexually abusing a student and unlawful use of electronic means to induce a minor to engage in sexual activities.
"I read on a blog that I was the female [Jerry] Sandusky. To read those things and not be able to comment, not be able to stick up for myself is not fair," said Sarah Jones in an exclusive interview with ABC News.
"People don't know the real me. There's blogs and postings out there that I have slept with numerous people. I married my high school sweetheart," said Jones. "I just asked the general public to maybe hold their judgment a little bit longer until the truth comes out."
Prosecutors asked a judge for a gag order on Monday to stop Jones from talking after she went on her lawyer's radio show earlier this month to comment on the charges against her. Jones' lawyer, Eric Deters, filed a motion to dismiss all charges because of a lack of evidence.

"They have no evidence that sexual relations of any type took place in any of the 50 United States of America," Deters told ABC News station WCPO.
The judge said she would review the motions and make a decision in the coming days.
"We won't be sending out motions, we won't be going on radio shows. You will be hearing our arguments about the evidence in court," said Leland Hulbert, spokesman for the Jefferson County Commonwealth's Attorney's Office, which is prosecuting the case.
Last November, the then 26-year-old teacher at Dixie Heights High School, was accused of having sex with a 17-year-old student. Jones' mother, Cheryl Jones – a middle school principal in the same school district -- is accused of tampering with evidence in connection with her daughter's case. Sarah Jones resigned from her position in November 2011.
Both mother and daughter pleaded not guilty in April at their arraignment. Both Sarah and Cheryl Jones were joined by dozens of supporters including the family of the alleged victim. The victim's name has not been released due to his age.
"The hardest thing has been having not only me go through it, but to have my mom go through it with me," said Sarah Jones. "It's almost kind of a guilty feeling that she is even involved in this because what has happened to her is not fair. My goal is for her charges to be dismissed."
Jones' lawyer is also demanding the prosecution be sanctioned for saying in court that Jones allegedly sent a text to the victim saying "deny everything." The prosecution described other texts with the victim as "steamy."
"I think people are taking this whole student-teacher thing… Yes, he was a student but he was not my student," said Jones. "He was a family friend and I am very close to his parents. Had it not been for their support it would be very difficult to get through this without them."

Lindsay Lohan makes super-strange sex-scene request

Lindsay Lohan may not be known as a shrinking violet, but she was apparently somewhat reluctant to doff her top for a sex scene in her gritty new film "The Canyons." To overcome her topless trepidation, the actress reportedly requested that the entire (male) crew shed their clothes, too, and film the scene wearing only their boxers. After a little negotiation – Lohan behold! – the crew complied, according to TMZ, and the shoot went off without a stitch … er, hitch. Lohan appears in the Bret Easton Ellis-penned noir thriller opposite former porn star James Deen, who we're guessing is a little less shy about the whole nudity thing.

Shocker! Mixing energy drinks with alcohol leads to casual sex

Researchers have confirmed what most of us knew all along: Drinking highly caffeinated energy drinks mixed with alcohol can lead to sexually risky behaviors like casual, drunken sex. Kathleen E. Miller, who led the University of Buffalo study of college students, explains it's easier to drink more than you realize when you mix alcohol with energy drinks because "the caffeine makes it harder to assess your own level of intoxication." And from there it's really just a few energetically enhancing, Jagerbombed steps to hooking up with whoever happens to cross your path. In other words, that Red Bull and vodka could leave you feeling pretty red-faced the next day, kids.

Dutch field hockey gains worldwide attention for reasons beyond field hockey PHOTO GALLERY |

I apologize if this comes off as sexist or superficial, but good gracious! Have you seen the Dutch field hockey team? These young ladies are causing quite a stir on the Olympic stage.
And they’re winning, too.
In their first match, they defeated my beloved Argentina 1-0 and are well on their way to defending their Olympic title. That’s right. These athletes are talented and beautiful. I don’t know what they’re eating in the Netherlands, but it’s obviously working.
The Associated PressI know nothing about field hockey and would definitely find it hard to follow at first. But I can tell you this:
I will be following it now. Go Dutch!

Bollywood starlet Sherlyn Chopra, who will be the first Indian to appear nude in Playboy, has said it was "not easy" to pose for the magazine.
Ms Chopra told BBC Hindi that she could not "miss the opportunity of posing nude for the world's most established adult magazine".
Playboy founder Hugh Hefner has tweeted that Ms Chopra will appear in the magazine's November issue.
The magazine is banned in India but people can access it on the internet.
"It is not an easy task to be nude in front of the camera and look good at the same time," Ms Chopra said.
She revealed that she had written to Playboy expressing an interest in posing - and the magazine got back to her "within three to four days".
'Idol' "I have become the first Indian to pose naked for Playboy and nobody can take away that achievement from me," Ms Chopra said.
"My sister is proud of my achievement. I haven't told anything to my mother, but I think I will visit her and tell her that she has to accept me the way I am."
The 28-year-old actress, who has played some small roles in Bollywood films, said she had visited Mr Hefner and his friends at the Playboy mansion in Los Angeles.
"I had fun meeting him and his girlfriends. I am thinking of making him my idol because he lives his life on his terms and conditions. I also live my life on my terms and conditions," Ms Chopra said.
Hugh Hefner set up Playboy magazine in 1953.
However, circulation and advertising revenues have been falling with the availability on the internet of free pornography.
Most of India's soft-porn magazines have shut down over the years, as more and more people access pornography over the internet.
That could be one reason why Ms Chopra's decision to appear in Playboy has met a rather lukewarm response in the country, correspondents say.

'Hottest female Olympian' doesn't expect to medal in javelin in London

Leryn FrancoLeryn FrancoLONDON – Paraguayan javelin thrower Leryn Franco has admitted she has far more chance of retaining her title as “hottest female Olympian” than she does of leaving London with a medal.
Franco was Yahoo's second-most searched Olympian, trailing only Michael Phelps, at the 2008 Beijing Games and was voted the most attractive competitor by several men's magazines. She managed just a 51st place finish in Beijing. Despite improving her performances over the last four years, she's still not expected to finish in the top 20.
"My situation is different from most of the other javelin throwers," Franco said. "I am not just an athlete. I have to be honest, my career is really in the media.
"If people open a magazine, they can see me there. Modeling and fashion is my job, too. It takes up much of my time and enables me to make money. It is flattering to me that people find me good-looking and enjoy seeing me wearing good fashion items."
Franco participated in Friday's Opening Ceremony and will not compete until Aug. 7, the fifth day of track and field events. She threw a personal best of 55.65 meters at an event in Buenos Aires last year, but that mark is nearly 17 meters shy of the world record.
Franco gained some extra attention in the United States last year when she was featured in Sports Illustrated's swimsuit edition and has a lucrative endorsement contract with Nike. In 2006, she finished second in a national beauty contest, Miss Universo Paraguay. She briefly dated world No.2 tennis player Novak Djokovic, but the pair split when their respective work and travel schedules made a relationship impossible.
"I am not expecting a medal," Franco said. "The competition is very strong and there are athletes who are stronger than me. But I treat it seriously and I want to do my personal best. For me the best reward is just to be here. Getting to the Olympics is like a medal for me."

Bruce Springsteen’s Blues: The Boss Reveals Battles With Severe Depression

Maybe Bruce Springsteen was much more affected by that "Wreck on the Highway" than we realized.
Opening up more than ever before, Springsteen reveals battles with depression throughout his life in a 16,000-word New Yorker profile hitting the stands this week. It turns out he wasn't just dancing in the dark; he was doing his fair share of brooding there, and even contemplating suicidal thoughts.
Bruce SpringsteenAt the height of his stardom in the early '80s, "he was feeling suicidal," Dave Marsh, Springsteen's first biographer as well as longtime confidante, told the New Yorker. "The depression wasn't shocking, per se. He was on a rocket ride, from nothing to something, and now you are getting your ass kissed day and night. You might start to have some inner conflicts about your real self-worth."
That isn't just an acquaintance exaggerating. Even Springsteen's wife, Patti Scialfa, opened up to writer David Remnick about her husband's bouts with the blues — and admitted she shared them. She says Bruce's dark side "didn't scare me" because "I suffered from depression myself, so I knew what that was about. Clinical depression—I knew what that was about," Scialfa reiterates. "I felt very akin to him."
Even the most joyful side of Springsteen's performances may have had a bleak undercurrent, according to the man himself. He says in the article that, at times, his nearly four-hour shows were driven by "pure fear and self-loathing and self-hatred." Remnick extrapolates: "He played that long not just to thrill the audience but also to burn himself out. Onstage, he held real life at bay."
There may have been a silver lining to Springsteen's depression, though. If you're wondering why he's one of the few major rock stars who's never had a hint of a drug problem, the answer may be here. Remnick says Springsteen told him that he was so afraid of succumbing to "the thread of mental instability that ran through his family... that fear, he says, is why he never did drugs."
SpringsteenRemnick contends that Springsteen's father, whose anger and alienation figures into many of the son's early songs, "seems to have been bipolar" and suffered from "paralyzing depressions" that he took out on Bruce. Doug Springsteen was prescribed medications for his mental disorder but didn't reliably take them, per this account. "My parents' struggles, it's the subject of my life," Springsteen says in the story. "It's the thing that eats at me and always will... Those wounds stay with you, and you turn them into a language and a purpose."
But Springsteen had more than just the sins of the father, or Adam raising a Cain, to contend with. There was the fame and acclaim at ever-increasing odds with Springsteen's self of sense-worth and identity. On his bleakest album, 1982's "Nebraska," Springsteen wasn't just affecting a mood. He was living it; Marsh says it was then that Springsteen was most depressed, and, in a funk, drove from one end of the country to the other and then headed right back the other way. Remnick describes it as "a cloud of crisis" and "intervals of depression that were far more serious than the occasional guilt trip" about being a well-paid populist.
But Springsteen's wealth has created its own share of identity problems, as fans have guessed over the years. One amusing passage in the New Yorker story has Steve Van Zandt recounting a knock-down, drag-out argument over the song "Ain't Got You" in the late '80s. It's one of the few times Springsteen has ever alluded to his own financial gain in a song, which Van Zandt thought was a horrible mistake. "We had one of the biggest fights of our lives," says Springsteen's longtime guitarist. He remembers Bruce saying "'It's just who I am, it's my life.' And I'm like... 'Nobody gives a s--- about your life. They need you for their lives'... We fought and fought and fought and fought." Van Zandt lost the battle on that one, but believes he won the war: "I think something in what I said probably resonated."
If Springsteen has moved past a lot of this inner turmoil, how'd he do it? "Obviously, therapy," says Scialfa. "He was able to look at himself and battle it out." Springsteen has been seeing a psychotherapist since 1982 — something that he hasn't made a secret of, since he's introduced the song "My Father's House" in concert by recounting discussions with his therapist about the impossibility of fixing the past by endlessly reliving it.
But the most fascinating aspect for Springsteenologists

Beach volleyballers might cover up for Olympics

They call soccer the "beautiful game," but an argument could be made that beach volleyball is the most beautiful game. Wives might object to their husbands sitting in front of the TV and watching tall bikini-clad women jumping and diving in the sand if it weren't for the fact that volleyball is a legitimate Olympic sport.
But there's a storm on the horizon (or, simply put, English weather), and it could cause volleyball players to bundle up in the equivalent of long underwear instead of bathing suits. The forecast calls for highs in the 60s early next week, with up to a 30 percent chance of rain. When you factor in night matches, that's not exactly bikini weather. Some beach volleyball players are ready to take precaution.
"We need it to keep our muscles warm," said Australian Tamsin Hinchley.
Nevertheless, beach volleyball is expected to draw crowds -- some half a million are predicted to come out for about 100 matches -- despite a relatively brief stint at the Olympics. It was introduced at the 1996 Games in Atlanta.
It's not like it's "Baywatch-with-a-ball," but if the weather doesn't cooperate, NBC may want to trot out some reruns of Sydney circa 2000 to avoid a ratings hit.

‘Total Recall’ three-breast actress both irked and excited

One of the less-revealing photos of Leeb at Comic-Con (sorry, guys) and her prosthetics. (Photo: SplashNews)You might think it strange that an actress who proudly displayed three breasts at Comic-Con 2012 was offended by some of the attention she got.
Well, she was.
Toronto-based actress Kaitlyn Leeb, who reprises the role of a three-breasted prostitute in the upcoming "Total Recall" remake, has quickly become an Internet sensation as photos of her -- un-dressed in character -- have spread.
In response to her new-found fame, Leeb has emphasized that the breasts are fake [via the Calgary Herald]: "There were a bunch of people at Comic-Con asking if I had surgery for the third one. Others thought that the two on the side were real. I guess that's the one thing that bothers me the most is that they think I'm out there prancing around Comic-Con with my breasts out. They really are not mine."
Trending on Yahoo! since July 15th, "kaitlyn leeb" made the top 6,000 searches on Yahoo! in the past seven days. Not surprisingly, 77 percent of her online interest has come from men. Perhaps an indication that some parents and wives need to do more policing, searches for the actress are coming from kids under 13 all the way to appreciative gents in their fifties. Leeb, however, would have to do more than don prosthetics to outshine her female lead stars Kate Beckinsale and Jessica Biel, who dominate her in online look-ups.
The 24-year-old actress, who has acting credits dating back to 2006, has said she has worked very hard for this moment [via the Toronto Star]: "It feels amazing that you're recognized. It's surreal, the past couple of days. It's all new and exciting." Leeb, who used to go by Kaitlyn Wong, has appeared in television shows as well as film, including 2010's "Locked Down" with Vinnie Jones and Bai Ling.
The woman who originated the role is Lycia Naff, who has appeared in soap opera "General Hospital" and beachy '90s television show "Baywatch." Now 49, Naff started her career as the lead dancer on the show "Fame."

Michelle Jenneke: Australian hurdler, dancing sensation

The 100-meter hurdles and the Internet just got a little sexier thanks to a racy prerace warmup routine by Australia's Michelle Jenneke.
If her goal was to get the blood pumping, it apparently worked (and for Jenneke, too), as the 19-year-old dominated the IAAF World Junior Championship in Barcelona last weekend. Along the way, she became a viral video sensation (videos such as the one you no doubt just played -- be honest -- are getting clicked as fast as, well, as fast as Michelle Jenneke runs the 100-meter hurdles).
According to Bleacher Report, sports blog With Leather posted raw, live-stream footage of Jenneke's prerace routine, then went back and edited it with an "overt celebration of Jenneke and her dancing and running presented in gratuitous slow motion, and with an awful song over it."
But then, that's just their opinion.
What seems clear is that this is one athlete who embraces the joy of running, and given some of the high-strung language accompanying track athletes these days, a little fun is a welcome thing.
In the 2010 Youth Games in Singapore, Jenneke took silver in the 100-meter hurdles. But after her gold in Barcelona, her star is on the rise.  She won't be competing in the London Games -- much to the chagrin of many Internet users -- but she might just be loosening up for a samba in Rio in 2016.
In the meantime, female athletes' sexuality and their power have been hotly discussed topics this year, and Jenneke is helping to shake it up. And that calls for a hug...

The Who announce 36-date Quadrophenia tour

The Who have announced they will embark on a 36-date Quadrophenia tour this fall, performing their 1973 rock opera in its entirety. The band's first North American tour in four years will kick off on Nov. 1 in Sunrise, Fla., and will wrap on Feb. 26 in Providence, R.I.
The band last took "Quadrophenia" on the road in 1996 and 1997. "We've been anxious to work together before we drop dead," Pete Townshend said Wednesday at a press conference with bandmate Roger Daltrey in London. Added Daltrey, "I don't know how many more years I'll be able to sing this music."
In a statement, Pete Townshend said, "I really love playing all of it. It's a unique piece for me in that. Some Who music is nightmarish to perform live. Roger has some very tough songs to sing, and he must have preferences. But for me on guitar, everything falls under the fingers. It flows naturally, and I always feel proud of my achievement as the writer, that I put it all together and gave the band a third wind."
Before heading out on tour, the band will be featured in the finale of the Olympics. "We've recorded a piece of music which I think is a fabulous ending for the Olympics," Daltrey said. "This country put some fabulous music into the world. It wasn't really about the Who being on a TV show. It's about just making great music that is applicable to the end of that event, where you've had people who have given the last eight years of their lives to be there on that field doing their thing."
The lineup for the Who's upcoming tour includes Daltrey and Townshend backed by Zak Starkey (drums), Pino Palladino (bass), Simon Townshend (guitar/backing vocals) and Chris Stainton, Loren Gold and Frank Simes (keyboards).
At the press conference, Townshend updated fans on his upcoming memoir, due this fall -- and made a dirty joke about his buddy Mick Jagger.
Tickets will go on sale via the Who's official fan club at 10 a.m. on July 20 and will go on sale to the public July 25.

Beatles first US album sells for just under $15,000

A rare edition of The Beatles' debut U.S. album has sold at auction for $15,000.
"Introducing ... The Beatles" hit shelves in America in early 1964, but due to a late release stemming from legal wranglings, it came out just 10 days before their second album, "Meet The Beatles!," which went on to become a bigger hit.
A rare edition was put up for sale on eBay, and a private collector paid big for the rare record, with a winning final bid of close to $15,000 last week. The album featured classic Beatles tracks such as "Twist and Shout" and their debut single "Love Me Do."

Al Franken's 'SNL' partner, Tom Davis, dies in N.Y.

HUDSON, N.Y. (AP) -- A writer who with Al Franken helped develop some of the most popular skits in the early years of "Saturday Night Live" has died in New York. Tom Davis was 59.
His wife, Mimi Raleigh, said he died of throat and neck cancer at his home in the Hudson Valley, north of New York City. He was diagnosed in 2009.
Davis is best known as the thinner, taller partner in Franken and Davis, the off-kilter comedy duo who performed in the early years of the show. They also were among the first writers hired for the new show in 1975 and helped create memorable work such as the "Coneheads" skit with Dan Aykroyd and what evolved into the "Nick the Lounge Singer" skit starring Bill Murray performing lounge-lizard versions of songs including the "Star Wars" theme.
Raleigh said Davis and Franken "were two of the first writers hired — with one salary."
As performers, Davis was the quiet guy, overshadowed by the flashier Franken, who is now a Democratic senator from Minnesota. Davis, in a 2009 interview with The Associated Press, said, "If we were Sonny and Cher, he would be Cher."
Davis met Franken at a suburban prep school in Minnesota, where their first gig was making announcements at morning chapel. They hit it big with "SNL" and stayed there until 1980, then returned a few years later. Davis left the show in 1994, feeling frozen out. Still, he told the AP he would always treasure his time on the show.
"It's my family. It's my extended, dysfunctional family, and I love them," Davis said.
Davis recalled spending his childhood watching "The Mickey Mouse Club" on television while wearing Mouseketeer Ears. He was the older of two brothers. Their father worked for 3M and their mother was the 1950 Queen of the Lakes of the Minneapolis Aquatennial, an annual summer festival.
In his memoir, "Thirty-Nine Years of Short-Term Memory Loss: The Early Days of SNL From Someone Who Was There," Davis also detailed friendships with counterculture legends Jerry Garcia and Timothy Leary, his own drug use and his travel as a young hippie to India in the 1970s.
Davis kept up his quirky sense of humor to the end, writing an essay on his experiences with cancer and the coming end of his life.
"I wake up in the morning, delighted to be waking up, read, write, feed the birds, watch sports on TV, accepting the fact that in the foreseeable future I will be a dead person," Davis wrote. "I want to remind you that dead people are people too."

Community is plagued by sign-bending, pole-dancing prostitutes

Residents of a community in South Auckland, New Zealand, are "beyond moral outrage" that their neighborhood, Hunter's Corner, has been so overrun by corner girls (and boys) they can barely keep a street sign intact. Representatives of Hunter's Corner – where  residents note, packages marked "Hooker's Corner" may also be delivered "with no problems whatsoever" – say more than 40 street sign poles have been bent or broken in the past 18 months alone because "Prostitutes use these street sign poles as dancing poles" and "often snap them." "Some of the prostitutes are big, strong people," one community leader said. Maybe someone should put up a "No pole dancing" sign?

Ladies in miniskirts offered half-price theme park entry

Here's a promotion Disneyland is unlikely to copy: A theme park in China is offering a half-price discount to all patrons who show up wearing miniskirts. (All female patrons, that is.) "The stipulation aims to encourage female visitors to showcase their beauty in summer," explained Li Wenxing, deputy manager of the Merry-Land Resort Theme Park in southern China.  And once the miniskirted ladies are in the park, other visitors are encouraged to splash them with water — all part of Merry-Land's not-at-all-completely-strange "summer water-splashing festival." Naturally, some nearby residents are trying to pour cold water on the campaign, believing it encourages ladies to "behave erotically" in public.

Police finally let nudity-loving hiker roam free

Stephen Gough, aka the “Naked Rambler,” is fond of strolling sans clothes across the U.K., a hobby which has landed him in frequent trouble with the law. The temperature-impervious former Marine was recently released from jail after serving a total of 657 days for favoring his birthday suit. Every time he has been released previously, police have arrested him within 60 seconds for exiting his jail naked. This time, however, Gough promptly stripped off upon leaving prison and Scottish police finally looked the other way, leaving him a free man. Gough, 53, now plans to see his kids and his mother, presumably unclothed, saying, "I am not going to give up. Stay naked is the word."

Elton John: ‘I Wasted Such A Big Part Of My Life’

Elton John {Photo: Simon James}World-famous icon Elton John may have what seems like a perfect life--he's happily settled down with husband David Furnish, and the couple are the parents of young son Zachary, who turns 2 this Christmas. However, the singer admits that although things are great now, he feels guilty about the years he virtually lost to drug and alcohol addiction.
"I wasted such a big part of my life," John admits in an exclusive interview with Today's Matt Lauer. "I was a drug addict and self-absorbed."
He noted that he hit the peak of his addiction during the beginning of the AIDS epidemic in the early '80s. "I was having people die right, left and center around me; friends," he told Lauer. "And yet, I didn't stop the life that I had, which is the terrible thing about addiction."
John also admits that he had no fear of contracting AIDS during that time. "When you take a drug and you take a drink and you mix those two together, you think you're invincible," he explained. "I came out of this HIV-negative. I was the luckiest man in the world."
John's candid confessions are further explored in his new memoir, Love Is The Cure: On Life Loss and the End of AIDS. Sales of the book will benefit the Elton John AIDS Foundation.
"I'm making up for [that period in my life]," John told Lauer. "There is so much more to be done."
The Rock And Roll Hall of Fame member, who is 65 years old and now living a sober lifestyle, has his mind on the future as well as his past--he says he'd like to have more children. "I want [Zachary] to have a brother or a sister to go to school with him. And so that he can have someone to play with."

Potter claims she has been able to lose 14 pounds per month since she reunited with her ex-husband, saying "it’s great exercise just jiggling around" (find out how many calories are burned during sex).

    Kate Middleton cousin Playboy

Former banker-turned-Burlesque dancer Katrina Darling, 21, who is a distant cousin of Kate Middleton (what photo of her is sparking outrage?), is reportedly set to pose nude for Playboy magazine's September issue.  Darling is apparently already known in London for her risqué performances (get details on her routine).  She claims she didn't know she was related to Middleton until last year (what does she say about it?).

Dave Grohl honored with record-breaking giant drumsticks

Foo FightersDave Grohl is in awe after he was honored in his native Ohio with the world's largest pair of drumsticks.
Two 900-pound sticks were carved from local logs and put on display outside the Warren Amphitheater in his hometown of Warren on Saturday as a thanks for putting the city on the map. The massive wooden sticks have since been declared the biggest ever made and have gone down in Guinness World Record history.
Grohl is flattered by the unusual accolade. In a post on the Foo Fighters' Twitter account, he writes, "To the wonderful city of Warren, from the bottom of my heart I'd like to thank you all so much. For the childhood memories. For my family. For my very own alley. For the world's largest drumsticks! And for all of your support. But most of all for being such a great community. One that makes me proud to say I am from Warren, Ohio!"
In September, the logs will be moved to Dave Grohl Alley -- the part of town named after the former Nirvana drummer.

Deep Purple keyboardist Jon Lord dies at 71
Deep Purple keyboardist Jon Lord has lost his battle with cancer at the age of 71.
Lord was diagnosed with a tumor in his pancreas in 2011, and he headed to Israel in February to undergo treatment. He was due to make his return in Hagen, Germany, earlier this month, but had to postpone the gig due to poor health.
A statement released at the time read, "Jon wishes to assure everyone that this is not a matter for concern, but it is a continuation of his regular treatment that has just taken longer than anticipated. He and the Hagen Philharmonic Orchestra hope to be able to reschedule the concert for later in the year."
However, Lord's condition took a turn for the worse, and he passed away Monday at a private hospital in London.
A post on his official website states, "It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Jon Lord, who suffered a fatal pulmonary embolism today, Monday 16th July at the London Clinic, after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. Jon was surrounded by his loving family."

    Jackie Samuel snuggle

Jackie Samuel is in the snuggle business. That is: for a price, folks in need of some cuddling can show up at her office, called "The Snuggery," and cozy up with her for a rather modest price (how much does it cost?).

Kate Beckinsale says she wants Republicans in her vagina

In one of the most wickedly funny spoofs of the political season, Funny or Die has released a video that hilariously declares that Republican women want government in their vaginas. This is laugh-out-loud-stuff as actresses Kate Beckinsale, Judy Greer and Andrea Savage mock male politicians who have suggested that government should be more involved in overseeing a woman's reproductive decisions. The celebrities seem ready and willing, for the purposes of this joke, to let the Oval Office take care of their "oval offices." "Being a woman means having a vagina," Beckinsale purrs sarcastically. "But it doesn't mean we want to have control of it."
