Beatles first US album sells for just under $15,000

A rare edition of The Beatles' debut U.S. album has sold at auction for $15,000.
"Introducing ... The Beatles" hit shelves in America in early 1964, but due to a late release stemming from legal wranglings, it came out just 10 days before their second album, "Meet The Beatles!," which went on to become a bigger hit.
A rare edition was put up for sale on eBay, and a private collector paid big for the rare record, with a winning final bid of close to $15,000 last week. The album featured classic Beatles tracks such as "Twist and Shout" and their debut single "Love Me Do."
