Model Strips Down for Facebook “Likes”

Clothing company Stussy Amsterdam's has created a new controversial Facebook ad. Like many brands, the page encourages users to “like” the ad. Here is the twist; the company is encouraging interaction by touting that the more users who like the ad, the more clothes will seemingly disappear off the model - a.k.a. stripping down for “likes.”

But as The Next Web points out, besides the potentially trashy idea this campaign could construe, one of the biggest problems is that it could be in violation of Facebook’s Terms of Service.

“Facebook’s promotional guidelines read, ‘You must not use Facebook features or functionality, such as the Like button, as a voting mechanism for a promotion,’” they say in an article on the subject.

Whether or not the ad is borderline trashy, the brand seems to know what they are doing—the page has already gotten more than 6,000 likes (and counting).
