Female prostitute (© T. Hoenig/A.B./Corbis)

Sorry, prostitutes, you can't promote services on LinkedIn anymore

While Facebook is notorious for sneaky changes to its privacy policy, this time it’s LinkedIn that's made a rather interesting update. The professional networking site just casually added a new clause that states in using LinkedIn, you promise not to "create profiles or provide content that promotes escort services or prostitution." Um, what? Apparently "prostitution" is a skill on LinkedIn that you can be "endorsed" for by others, and the site's search algorithm suggests that LinkedIn members are regularly looking for "call girls" and "female escorts." Who knew prostitutes even had resumes, never mind LinkedIn profiles.
