Men prefer more junk in the trunk when they're stressed out

Plus one for the plus-size ladies. A new study in the PLoS ONE journal (no relation) reveals that stressed-out men are more attracted to heavier women due to their altered judgment of potential partners. British researchers found that a test group of guys who participated in interview and public-speaking tasks designed to put them under stress preferred females of a huskier girth than a control group of relatively unstressed men. This disputes a popular assertion that our BMI preferences aren't hardwired. Thank you, science — always getting to the bottom of big issues.
