Mystery author signs 7-figure deal, hopes book is next 'Fifty Shades'
It’s unknown if the writer is a man or a woman, what his/her real
name is or if the person lives in Canada. What we do know is that someone out
there, under pen name "Sylvain Reynard,” signed a seven-figure deal for writing
what publishers hope will become the next dirty lit hit. Penguin’s Berkley group
is printing the popular eBooks "Gabriel’s Inferno" and its sequel, "Gabriel’s
Rapture," about a professor with a dark past who uses his power to seduce a
"sweet and innocent" grad student. Sound familiar? It couldn’t come at a better
time. "Fifty Shades of Grey" has surpassed the last book in the "Harry Potter"
series to become Amazon U.K.'s best-selling book of all time and has sold about
20 million copies worldwide. Ah, the power of porn, er, the press
