Mystery author signs 7-figure deal, hopes book is next 'Fifty Shades'

It’s unknown if the writer is a man or a woman, what his/her real name is or if the person lives in Canada. What we do know is that someone out there, under pen name "Sylvain Reynard,” signed a seven-figure deal for writing what publishers hope will become the next dirty lit hit. Penguin’s Berkley group is printing the popular eBooks "Gabriel’s Inferno" and its sequel, "Gabriel’s Rapture," about a professor with a dark past who uses his power to seduce a "sweet and innocent" grad student. Sound familiar? It couldn’t come at a better time. "Fifty Shades of Grey" has surpassed the last book in the "Harry Potter" series to become Amazon U.K.'s best-selling book of all time and has sold about 20 million copies worldwide. Ah, the power of porn, er, the press
