UNICEF rates Canadian teens No. 1 at smoking weed

UNICEF’s findings are going to kick off a chain of parental high-fives across America: The U.S. doesn’t have the highest percentage of weed-smoking teens. That honor belongs to Canada, with 28 percent of 11-,13- and 15-year-olds having tried the wacky tobaccy. U-S-A! U-S-A! Although 22 percent of American youths have tried it, next to those stoners up North these kids are real Polly Pinklungs. Weirdly, UNICEF found that out of 29 countries surveyed, those with more liberal pot laws actually had lower usage among youths. Weed has been decriminalized in Portugal, for instance, and only 10.5 percent of the youths there have tried it, as opposed to the comparatively whopping stats for North America.
